Painted Jezebel

Welcome to my Author page. I'm Jolie Pethtel and I recently signed with museitup publishing, a fabulous new epublisher. Expect great things from them in the near future, including the release of my novel 'Painted Jezebel' coming out September 2011. Do you like romance? Comedy? Mystery? Painted Jezebel has all three rolled into one. Jezebel Jinx isn't your typical perfect heroine. She's a novelist, much like me, but she has a few odd...quirks. She believes she's jinxed with bad luck and it's turned her into a neurotic mess. She can't even leave her home without having a panic attack, yet that's exactly what her sexy new Publicist is asking her to do. Finn Mackenzie has always been a good, Irish Catholic with a pretty solid moral compass, until an illicit affair with a client costs him everything. He'll do anything to get back on top again, including kidnapping if that's what it takes to complete his assignment. His orders are to get the elusive Jezebel Jinx to a writer's conference by any means necessary and that's exactly what he does. Once she gets over the initial shock, Jezebel decides a no strings affair with a sexy kidnapper might be just what she needs. There's only one hitch. Finn has sworn off romantic.entanglements with all writers no matter how tempting. Jezebel aims to change his mind, until she becomes the lead suspect in a murder. The conference is almost over and her time is running out. Everyone believes she's guilty--except Finn. They team up to prove her innocence, but catching a killer in a hotel full of people that hated the victim is about as likely as finding a finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Still, they're determined to try. Can Finn and Jezebel find a murderer and their own happily ever after?--maybe, if they're lucky. You can find 'Painted Jezebel' and other great titles anywhere that carries Muse books online, but especially at our publishers website. 7. A murder at a Writers' Conference ...? Other than reputation, genre, and style? Just kidding.

Sounds like a good read. But you started me wondering ... a poisoned dart fells a jungle explorer midway through his author reading? A book critic is felled by a poisoned water carafe midway through a panel discussion on "The ennui of modern literature"?

Have to read Painted Jezebel to find out.

    Best.............Chris H.

  9. Hi Jolie,
You have captivated me with the blurb alone. The idea of a murder at a writer's conference is great. The blog looks spectacular. The colours are vibrant but the blog is still easy to read. That makes life so much easier.
I will be following your blog and will add it to my blog site at Ramblings from Lady Rosalie. I am another Museitup author with a Science fiction Fantasy series being released in September 2011 through to April 2012.
